Each tattoo artist has his their habits and advice. If she/he hasn’t given you her skincare tips or you’ve forgotten, here are a few for you. To start, you need a gentle cleansing gel. A soap-free shower gel or a baby shower gel will be perfect. All shower gels have a neutral (7) or philological (5.5) pH, soaps are a little more “aggressive”. You can use an antiseptic type cytéal or section if you prefer.
First day
Situation 1: You leave the shop with a plastic film. Keep the celo for a few hours maximum, just long enough to get home, and don’t give up. Never! At the point when you return home, practice past high temp water/cold water techniques. Wash your tattoo and flush it in warm water for a couple of moments. Finish the shower with cold water for a couple of moments. Thoroughly dry the tattoo and your hands with a clean towel. Apply your moisturizer.
Situation 2: With a Tegaderm tattoo waterproof dressing. The dressing will last 2 to 3 days. As long as it holds up, go about your life as usual. Once it starts to come off or after 3 days, remove it completely and move on to the treatments. Wash your tattoo once a day, a second time if necessary that means after dirty work, sport, etc.
But no more. Thoroughly dry the tattoo and your hands with a clean towel. Apply your moisturizer. you need to follow this routine for days (almost 8 to 10 days). If you need to protect your tattoo, use a clean fabric: natural fiber clothing (cotton, linen, etc.). No synthetic fiber fabrics or plastic, it’s suffocating! At any time if your skin feels dry or uncomfortable, reapply the moisturizer. While taking care of the tattoo don’t forget to wash and dry your hands first. Don’t you need to wash the tattoo for each application?
After a few days, your tattoo will start to peel and it may itch, this is normal. Don’t scratch!
When your tattoo has completely peeled off, you can stop the treatment.
A little hydration will always do the greatest good for your tattoo, for that, you can use your moisturizing product. Pretty much anything else you like will be fine. And for all your life you must be wary of the sun. Ideally don’t expose it at all. If you have no choice, a good SPF 50 sunscreen will be your best friend. If it goes wrong?
